Parents Reaching Out is a service of the Wisconsin Sound Beginnings Program in the WI Department of Health Services, provided as part of the Connecting Families network. Wisconsin Sound Beginnings is a public health program that makes sure every family has access to infant hearing screening, follow-up, and support services.

Parents Reaching Out connects families who have recently learned that their child has a hearing difference to Support Parents and other families traveling a similar journey. Support Parents are parents of children with a hearing difference and can offer free, sensitive and friendly one on one connections.

Support Parents also facilitate a virtual meeting via Zoom known as Sounding Board Tuesdays. Sounding Board Tuesdays are an opportunity for an informal chat about the delights and challenges of parenting children with a hearing difference. These meetings happen on the last Tuesday of the month, every other month (excluding  summer months).
