Families that have a child with complex, chronic conditions or medical complexity face unique challenges. It can be difficult to find others who relate when you spend much of your time at home caring for a medically fragile child! Current supports in this area include:
- Short-term virtual groups to reflect on shared experiences and build resiliency. Topics include grief, decision-making, self-care, home modifications, and much more.
- Casual, drop-in virtual groups guided by the needs of the parents/caregivers who make it that week. Stay for the whole time or just stop by for a few minutes of connection with others who truly get it.
- Monthly in-person gatherings for parents in the Madison area to connect with other parents and overcome isolation.
